Our Merlot was grown by Marty Gibson. Mr. Gibson hails from a prominent Finger Lakes wine grape growing family, and his ten acre vineyard on the west side of Seneca Lake is optimally located to take advantage of gentle warm lake breezes that add days and weeks to the growing season late into the fall.

Soil Type: 50% Cayuga Silt Loam, Eroded, 8-15% Slopes, and 50% Howard Gravelly

Nose: Bing Cherry, Coffee, Vanilla

Palate: Black Cherry, Blueberry, Blackberry, Cedar

Finish: Balanced Tannins with Lingering Finish At Bellangelo, we pair our Merlot with goat cheese, red sauce pastas, and nearly any red meat.
